Default How to turn a pet into Agressive->Dire

Well, I have 12 beast mastery and I have a pet- bear. The ultimate pet guide said that pet has to do most of the damage but it doesn't attack itself . So how would be the best way for a pet to do most of the dmg?

Let your character whatever it may be, wand-shoot an arrow-whack with an axe, and your pet will attack it. Simply stand back and let it solo it. Also equip pet skils to your skill bar.

But if your pet dies it's not going to be dire.

Actually, I found that passive aggro worked great for me. Just pass your aggro ring over the monster, then get close to your pet. Your pet will defend you and start attacking the monster in question, so that way you can reduce the damage you deal even further.

For me, I let my poor unevolved lvl 20 dune lizard go and got a fresh level 5 wolf, went to gates of kryta and then to scoundrels rise (north of GoK),

maxed out beast mastery, then put rest in wilderness survival. I simply had

charm animal
comfort animal
feral lunge
beastial pounce
disrupting lunge
troll unguent
symbiotic bond
nature's renewal

basically just attack an enemy once to trigger your animals attack and just keep using the skills, natures renewal makes it easier to interupt deep freeze and in turn deal more damage. try to keep symbiotic bond up but it doesnt matter a great deal. keep troll unguent up when needed. if you wanted to you could probably put in ferocious strike or another attack skill instead of comfort animal because symbiotic bond keeps your pets hp up pretty high. Just attack the mergoyles, dont aggro the big group of skales.

good luck

The thread advice really works. The trick is you need to take a high amount of damage relative to your pet. I couldn't get it right until I did that. Thank Goodness for Troll Unguent.

Make sure you are using the otyugh's cry and call of protection. From what they say it isn't keeping your pet healed but preventing the damage in the first place.

I just grabed a low level sword and waded into the Minotaurs with my warthog. Ferocious strike is nice to bring along as well.

I just went and got myself a black moa, it may be that they are all random like spiders, but you can't tell which evolution they have by title.
